The Avansia is robust and reliable, designed for rigorous use. Its airtight structure also ensures that it can operate in extreme environments such as heat and dust. This ID card printer comes with a 3 year standard warranty and a life time warranty on the printhead.
The Evolis Avansia is perfect for printing cards in medium and large quantities. With an output of more than 140 single-sided colour cards or over 90 double-sided colour cards per hour the Avansia is extremely fast. The high capacity input and output hoppers, which can each hold 250 cards, and high capacity consumables (500 prints per roll) mean you can print your card runs with no interruptions.
The actual printer has many security features to prevent unauthorised printing or accessing of the consumables. An RFID electronic key activates the printer, the removal of this key will prevent the printer from working. The consumables within the printer are protected by a mechanical key, ensuring unused stock is kept secure but also your old printer ribbons, that will contain your secure data. Finally, the Avansia also comes with a Kensington® security lock.
The Avansia can be configured for all types of data encoding options: magnetic stripe, contact and contactless smart cards. These factory configured encoding options can be combined if required.
Superior Print Quality
The Evolis Avansia ID card printer is a retransfer printer designed for printing very high resolution images and text. The 600 dpi printhead ensures that very fine detail is perfectly duplicated on to the card design, including micro-text and watermarks.
Over the edge printing ensures that no white line is left around the edge of the card - this is achieved due to the retransfer film being larger than the surface of the card.
Retransfer printing also allows for printing on a range of card types including PET, PVC, polycarbonate and ABS and uneven surfaces such as clamshell and other smart technology cards.
What is retransfer printing?
Retransfer printing is a two phase process. Firstly the card design is printed in reverse onto a clear, flexible film using the dye sublimation print process. This film is then bonded to the surface of the card using heat and pressure to ensure a completely flat, flawless finish. This also allows for printing on to cards with uneven surfaces, such as smart technology cards.
