Christmas is here once again, which means that as always ID Card Centre Ltd will be donating to a charity of our choice. There are, of course, so many charities across the country that need support. This year, our charity of choice is very close to home. 100 Ladles -Action for Homelessness and hunger are a local charity, offering aid to those that need it in Northampton town centre. Every Saturday evening the community run group gathers on Northampton town’s main street to serve up hot meals, drinks and other snacks and essentials to Northampton’s homeless population.
Our Director, Nicola O’Brien, helps out regularly on a Saturday evening, preparing tasty meals at home before helping to serve up on location. Having seen first-hand how appreciated the donations and contributions are, we decided that this year we would make our donation to them. The team have gathered together a selection of festive feasts and chocolatey treats that will be wrapped up and given out as gifts to the service users. Furthermore, we have donated some winter essentials to be given out such as warm winter jackets, sleeping bags and gloves. These clothing accessories will go a long way to help the homeless this Christmas.
So many different members of the community contribute food, time and resources to the charity which brings friends and family together as they unite in helping the homeless. Nicola has found the experience of working with them enlightening and so donating to 100 ladles this Christmas is a privilege.
