In the past, getting photographs of private material required careful consideration. Imagine a secret agent sneaking around a secure government facility or a spy snooping around a product development lab- reliant on their hi-tech gadgetry to get photos of private material. Today, people don’t need their camera’s disguised as a pen or shirt button- the infamous camera sunglasses are a thing of the past, too. Why? Today’s modern world has the ever-developing mobile phone camera, allowing quick and easy photography wherever they go.
As the presence of mobile phones, camera..
So your existing ID badge or card supplier delivers late (useless for events) or perhaps provides ID cards that won’t work in your ID badge printers. You look around for another ID card supplier for the first time in years and realise how complicated the industry has become.
Here are some key questions to ask to help you make the right choice when selecting a new ID card supplier.

We work with a lot of public sector organisations and produce many different types of cards and passes so when we were approached to create ID cards for a tourist board we knew we could fulfil their brief.
The client was looking for a standard credit card sized ID Card to feature a brand new, eye catching design to the front, and also include the holder's photo and name. The rear of the card would be printed with generic information regarding what to do with a lost card if it was found.
The cards also needed to be compatible with their existing s..
Due to the very nature of our products, the details of a lot of our client’s accounts need to remain top secret – however, we still want to be able to share our solutions with you in case they are also the perfect fit for your business.
Our next client, a local engine manufacturer, is no different and they have a vast array of access control, identity and badging requirements within their business.

Innovative, diverse and in a constant state of change; for the many businesses offering their creative services, the events industry is an exciting and competitive environment.
At ID Card Centre we understand that one of the key ingredients to a successful event is paying close attention to the little details, as this is what can set you apart from the competition.
We also appreciate the stresses that event organisers are under (I used to be one for over 15 years!) such as tight client budgets, last minute changes to delegate lists and needing to print badges at the very last minute but ..

Cambridge University Library certainly got Ben's mind working!
An Oracle database connected via ODBC, multiple tables without common unique identifiers and transposing data to print information which wasn't actually stored in the database as well as writing back to other tables with all of the card date for importing into other systems. To top it off, we had multiple designs all with different requirements!!
Cambridge University is undoubtedly one of the most prestigious education establishments in the world and their 600 year old library, housing over 8 million books is a vital, central resource to the students of the university and colleges. Driven by a need to upgrade their student and staff cards to ‘smart’ MIFARE® cards, and realising that their current software or hardware did not support MIFARE® encoding, ID Card Centre were pleased to be able to offer a solution.

We were approached an NHS Trust to produce around 400 name badges for their staff.
They wanted to place this order as call off, meaning all 400 badges were ordered in advance but would then be produced and sent out only when they were needed. We also provided a number of reusable badges, meaning they could quickly issue emergency badges as and when required without the need to wait for an acrylic personalised badge to be manufactured. This meant that every member of staff in the wards could be easily identified, which keeps CQC happy!

Since 2008, ID Card Centre have managed the bus passes for one of the largest local authorities in England.
This particular Council issue approximately 4000 bus passes per year to local residents.
The passes need to be hard wearing enough to ensure that they last for the full year for those residents that use them on a daily basis.
They also need to be easily identifiable to the bus driver as a valid bus pass, belonging to the correct owner.

Short lead times, high end expectations and last minute changes – all factors which are pretty much a given when it comes to events – whether they be exhibitions, sporting event hospitality or high profile conferences.
