The Evolis Primacy 2 has proven to be very easy to use. The input and output trays are at the front of the printer, meaning the bureau team can easily fill up the card hopper and remove any produced cards.
It’s also been easy to change the ribbon, thanks to the panel at the top of the printer. To replace the used ribbon, the team simply click out the cartridge and insert a new one. The printer detects the replacement automatically, so they can continue printing like before.
With a high print volume coming through the ID Card Centre bureau, the speeds of the Evolis Primacy 2 have proven good enough to compete. The Evolis Primacy 2 offers print speeds of:
• 280 single-sided full colour cards per hour
• 170 double-sided full colour cards per hour
At full capacity, this means the in-house printing experts can print 2,240 full colour single-sided cards, or 1,360 full colour double-sided cards. This increased efficiency is ideal for the busy ID Card Centre environment.
The Team can also now offer improved security features, such as being able to offer a new YMCKOO ribbon. This allows for an overlay layer as well as UV overlay, making it harder for printed cards to be forged.
Alongside this, the printer erases all digital data once it has been processed through, and the upgrade to Kineclipse® means that any data left on the ribbon is masked and can be easily disposed of.
The 3-year warranty offered by Evolis, has also brought much needed peace of mind.
