IDP offers multiple printers with different technologies based on your requirements. Their Dye-Sublimation printers are designed to print high-quality vibrant ID cards using heat whereas direct to card printer technology used your ribbon and it's printhead which comes into direct contact with your cards. Both cost-effective versions compared to IDP's retransfer printer.

Retransfer printing offers multiple benefits for larger organisations that want to improve their card designs. Fully edge-to-edge printing leaves no white boarders behind, therefore helping your designs become as professional looking as possible. This technology also provides an extra lay of protection due to the image being placed in between the film. Additionally, retransfer is known for for producing high-quality images on a diverse range of different card materials. It is also able to print onto RFID cards and uneven surfaces with ease.

Dye-Sublimation and Direct-to-Card (DTC) use the same method for card printing, both using heat to transfer dye directly onto the cards surface smoothly, providing high-quality, vibrant images and text. This method is ideal for creating ID cards and badges in large volumes and offers a good balance between cost, speed and quality.

It is important, your cards have additional layers of security to protect authenticity. Depending on the printer, certain versions offer hologram overlays which makes it much harder to duplicate the card. On the other hand, UV printing is another security feature which which prints invisible patterns onto your cards that can only be seen under UV light.
