The CardPresso ID Card Software comes in five different editions aimed at different levels of experience and business need. Each edition allow you to design and create stunning ID cards but will vary when it comes to the support of additional components such as barcodes and features such as face and fingerprint acquisition.
The XXS edition is the entry-level edition that provides your business with the basic tools to design and print ID Cards. This version is often bundled with ID Card Printers to get you started.
The XS edition provides you with all the features of the XXS edition with the addition of support for QR codes. The XS edition also includes access to .XLS, .CSV and .TXT databases.
The XM edition provides you with the features of the XXS and XS editions as well as a smartcard plugin, the ability to manage 2D barcodes and support for automatic face detection.
The XL edition provides you with all the standard features with the addition of allowing fingerprint acquisition, an ODBC connection to external databases and contactless RFID encoding.
The top-of-the-range CardPresso XXL Edition includes advanced features such as DESFire encoding, as well as a web print server and a net licence for up to sixteen PCs.
Improve your processes and add efficiencies to your workflow by using predefined templates. These card and badge templates include images and other graphic design elements, as well as text, barcodes, and anything else you may need.
You can edit wording, move images around, and change the colours to suit your branding, making them user friendly as well as efficient.
With CardPresso's simple interface, you can create card templates with ease. When you open up a new file, you can choose the type of card you want to design (including CR80, MIFARE, and magnetic stripe), which will open up a blank template for you to start from.
To create your professional card design, you can drag and drop images, text, clipart, and more. Once you've added all the elements you need, you can change the size, rearrange them, set backgrounds and more.
Alongside this, XM editions and up allow for automatic facecrop, meaning you can connect a webcam or standard digital camera to the software and can add the image without any 3rd party editing software.
All editions of CardPresso software offer an internal database. This allows you to create dynamic fields on your card design, such as employee name, position, identifying number, and expiration date. You can also create a dynamic field for photos.
Once your database is connected, your linked dynamic fields will populate using the data, allowing you to print each variation of the card.
CardPresso XS ID card software and all other upgrades can connect to XLS, XLSX, CSV and TXT databases, with further integrations available for further editions.
