Magicard ID Card Printers
As a Magicard Approved Partner, ID Card Centre offers a wide choice of Magicard ID card printers from the Prima, Ultima, Rio, 300, 600 and Pronto ranges. There are options range from entry level, low-cost solutions right through to high security printers with all the encoding options you will ever need.
All our Magicard printers are able to help you create ID cards, event passes and large format cards with ease.
Retransfer Printers
The Ultima and Prima 8 are the only Magicard printers that offer retransfer printer technology. They are built for advanced ID card printing.
This technology prints your images onto a clear film first, then applies it onto the card. A perfect solution for high-quality prints whilst allowing edge-to-edge printing on uneven surfaces like access control cards.
Direct-To-Card Printers
Although the difference isn't huge, direct-to-card printers are generally able to print faster due to the technology printing directly onto the cards surface without using an additional film. This makes them perfect for efficient and productive high volume printing when required.
Single-Sided/Dual-Sided Printing
Depending on your requirements, all Magicard printers come single sided as standard, with the optional upgrade of dual sided if you require it. Double sided (also known as dual-sided) is a perfect choice if you're looking to maximise the space on your cards by printing on both sides of the card.
ID Card Printer With Magnetic Stripe Encoding and Elatec Smart Encoding
Smart card encoding is ideal for enhancing security and access control measures in your building. The magnetic stripe stores data on the actual stripe of the card, great for serving as ID cards.
The Elatec encoding uses an embedded chip, great for contact/contactless cards.
Additionally, all of the Magicard printers have a built in feature called HoloKote® which prints a watermark over the card to prevent duplication.
Card Design Software
If you want professional designs that offer good quality and reliability, you will first need to build unique customisations specifically tailored to your needs. This may seem straightforward, but having the right software makes this process seamless.
To get the most out of your printer, we offer a range of softwares such as CardExchange, CardPresso, EasyBadge, Semieta and eMedia. All Magicard printers are compatible with Windows operating systems. Please note that a lot of our Magicard printers are also compatible with Mac OS, but we recommend checking each individual printer prior to purchasing.
