The HID OMNIKEY^® 5422 represents the ideal and most cost-effective combination of contact and contactless technology in one USB device.

Featuring a dual interface, USB reader that will both read and write to both a 13.56 MHz contactless smart card and virtually any contact smart card, this reader can be used to support environments where both contact and contactless smart card technologies are required.

The reader provides convenience, speed and security for applications, including user authentication for PCs, software, cloud-based applications, networks and also websites. The HID Omnikey 5422 is plug-and-play and therefore eliminates the requirement for driver installation. This USB reader is suitable for use with standard PCs or workstations and with thin and zero clients.
