International Youth Day 2025: Celebrating Young Voices and Future Leaders
On the 12th of August, it's International Youth Day 2025, and we are shining a spotlight on the young talents at ID Card Centre who are driving real change - in order to raise awareness both within our company and in the wider community. From apprentices to young professionals, their fresh ideas and commitment to sustainability, inclusion, and innovation are helping us contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and build a brighter future. At the heart of it all, youth voices are continuously shaping our culture and empowering positive change within local communities every day.
At the ID Card Centre, we recognise that young people are already driving meaningful change today. Their voices and actions are shaping culture, inspiring individuals and advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) every single day. The SDGs provide a global guide in attempts to tackle critical challenges like quality education, climate action and sustainable communities nationwide. These goals emphasize the importance of investing in youth development and mental health, ensuring young people have access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.
International Youth Day Spotlight: Celebrating Passion and Commitment at ID Card Centre
Behind every movement are the individuals who bring it to life. At the ID Card Centre, we’re proud to have a youth-driven team in key roles who embody this spirit of youth engagement and local action. Lorna, our data and development specialist states,
"At ID Card Centre, there's a strong focus on collaboration, feedback and continuous improvement."
Lorna is one of our motivated youth members who plays a key role in advancing our commitment to those around us especially through youth engagement.
Apprenticeship starts in England have increased by 9% from 2022 to 2023, with over 740,000 apprentices active. ( GOV.UK ). We believe that it is crucial to offer real work experience and upskill the young people within our community and continue to practice this through employing new apprentices. This August, Tammy (Our Digital Marketing Apprentice) is volunteering at a youth - based festival. Her dedication reflects how individual actions interlink with broader movements like International Youth Day, which celebrates the vital role of young people in shaping a sustainable future.
By voicing the successes of the younger generation, we at ID Card Centre continue to contribute to a movement where local action works hand in hand with global goals. That's why we’re proud that through the use of our products (such as event passes, ID cards, and lanyards) they play a small but meaningful role in supporting local infrastructure and public services. These essentials are often used in schools, festivals, and community programs that create safe and inclusive spaces for youth to learn, connect, and grow.
