This upgrades a CardExchange Producer Premium v10 licence to Enterprise, the edition built for organisations that need to encode access cards, not just print and design them. If you're already on Premium and running into a wall because you need contactless encoding, scripting or proper database server connections, this is the software upgrade you need.

What Premium already gives you

Premium covers file-based database connections (MS Access, MS Excel, CSV), user and group roles, 2D barcodes, unlimited card templates, UV panel support and photo and signature capture. It's a genuinely capable design and issuance tool, it just stops short of encoding and enterprise-level data integration.

What Enterprise adds

• Contactless encoding: MIFARE Classic, MIFARE DESFire EV1 and MIFARE SAM AV2 support, so the software can write access credentials onto a card during printing, not just design how it looks. DESFire EV2 support is planned but not yet available, worth knowing if that's specifically what you need.
• Unlimited database server connections, with the ability to push and pull data between them, a real step up from Premium's file-based connections (Access, Excel, CSV) if your organisation runs on SQL Server, Oracle or similar.
• Active Directory (LDAP) integration included as standard, so user data and photos can sync directly with your existing systems rather than needing separate management.
• Python scripting support, for automating tasks and adapting layouts or workflows to your organisation's own rules rather than working within Premium's fixed options.
• Biometric template and image storage, supporting multiple biometric devices if your access control setup uses them.

About the SBS (network) setup

This is the CardExchange Producer Small Business Server (SBS) Master Licence, a multi-user network solution that keeps card designs and data in one central location rather than scattered across individual machines. It's built for multi-site organisations: universities, hospitals and large corporations, where different users need different permissions but everyone needs to be working from the same current data.

A Master Licence for either the Business or Enterprise edition is required first. Client Licences can then be added with no limit and the Print Server and Dispatcher modules are available on top if you need them. Compare all CardExchange editions to see the full picture before deciding.

If you're a single-user setup rather than a multi-site network, the standalone Premium to Enterprise upgrade covers the same feature jump without network licensing, at a lower price.
