Issuing a card works the same way as with Paxton’s own tokens. You enter the user’s details in the Net2 software, then present the card to a Net2 desktop reader to add its number. Access permissions are stored in the software against that number. Changing which doors someone can open never means reprogramming the card.
The magnetic stripe arrives unencoded. Net2 readers use the proximity chip, so the stripe is free for a second system that reads magstripe, such as cashless vending or time and attendance. The signature panel gives reception or security staff a quick way to check the card belongs to the person carrying it.
If you don’t need the stripe or signature panel, our compatible 692-500 proximity cards are plain on both sides.
The white front prints on any standard ID card printer, with room for a photo, name and logo. A single card then carries the person’s photo ID and their door access, with the stripe on the back ready for a second system.
