About the VBDG1205EU Badgy Consumables Kit

The five panel YMCKO ribbon consists of Yellow (Y), Magenta (M), Cyan, Black (K) and Overlay (O) panels.  The colour panels allow for printing vibrant colour images in the full spectrum of colours.  The black panel is used for adding text and barcodes to the card.  The overlay panel is applied last and provides a thin, protective layer over the surface of the card.

The plain white PVC cards are standard credit card sized CR80 cards, measuring 85.60 x 53.98mm.  The 30 mil / 760 micron thickness is the same as a standard credit card.  If you’d like a thinner card then select the 20 mil / 480 micron cards with the VBDG101EU kit.

A cleaning kit is also included to ensure the Evolis Badgy printer is kept in tip top condition.  We recommend the printer is cleaned each time the ribbon is replaced. 

The cleaning kit includes:

  • A Cleaning card  - run this through the printer on a cleaning cycle to cleans the feed rollers, cleaning rollers and printhead
  • Cleaning cloth use this to manually wipe the cleaning rollers and any other areas of the printer that need cleaning by hand
  • The alcohol cleaning swab can be used in the harder to reach areas such as the printhead where surplus ink may gather

 

At ID Card Centre we only sell genuine Evolis Badgy printer ribbons and genuine ribbons must be used in order to maintain your Evolis Badgy card printer's warranty.  Genuine ribbons also extend the life of your printer!  

It is also worth noting that printer ribbons typically have a shelf life of one year, when stored in the correct conditions (cool, dry and out of direct sunlight).  Ribbons that are older or improperly stored are likely to cause problems such as ripping, imperfect printing and jamming the printer.
