HID iCLASS Seos + Prox 16K Card (5105PGGMNN, Pack of 100)
The HID 5105PGGMNN is an iCLASS Seos card with a 125kHz Prox chip built into the same card body, and its part number tells you exactly how it arrives. The “P” means HID Global ships it with the Seos side programmed with a Secure Identity Object (SIO) and the Prox side unprogrammed, so this pack suits sites where every door already runs on Seos-capable readers.

Seos is the newest card technology in the HID iCLASS family. Every time the card meets a reader, the two authenticate each other using AES-128 encryption and create a fresh session key for that read. That makes cloning and replay attacks far harder than on older proximity cards. Seos also has a privacy mode that keeps traceable identifiers out of the conversation between card and reader.
The 16K bytes of memory are split into securely separated files. As your access control system grows, the same access card can carry more than one application alongside door entry.
The difference between HID iCLASS generations matters when you order. Standard iCLASS was the original 13.56MHz smart card, and iCLASS SE introduced the SIO data model. Seos then moved everything onto AES-128-based security. A Seos card needs card readers that can process SIO data, such as iCLASS SE, multiCLASS SE and HID Signo readers. It won’t read on older standard iCLASS-only readers.
If some doors on your site still use HID Prox readers, this card won’t open them. The Prox side leaves the factory unprogrammed. If your site is still mid-migration, ask us about the R-coded version of the card, which has both interfaces programmed.
These cards print well with photos, names and your logo. The composite PVC/PET construction copes with the heat of retransfer printing and lamination better than all-PVC smart cards. Each card carries an external number that matches the number programmed into the chip, so issuing a card and logging it against a cardholder in your access control software takes seconds. HID also marks blank cards with a small logo and reference number, so check where these sit before finalising your card design.
HID doesn’t offer these cards with a slot punch, and punching one yourself risks damaging the antenna inside. An ID card holder on a lanyard keeps the card protected and easy to present at every reader.
