HID iCLASS 2002PGGMN 16K/16 Printable Smart Card (Pack of 100)

The HID iCLASS 2002PGGMN is a 13.56 MHz contactless smart card with 16 kilobits (2KB) of memory, split into 16 separate application areas. That split is the reason to choose it. Each area is protected by its own 64-bit diversified keys, so access control can sit alongside other applications such as cashless vending, time and attendance or biometric templates, without one application being able to read another’s data. If door access is the only job, HID’s 2K and 16K/2 iCLASS cards cover it with less memory.

When you order, choose your card format, site code and the start of your number range. The cards are then programmed to match, ready to enrol on your system as soon as they arrive.

Communication between card and reader uses mutual authentication and encrypted data transfer, so each side confirms the other is genuine before any data moves.

The card meets ISO standards for size and thickness, so it runs through direct-to-card and thermal transfer ID card printers. You can print a photo, name and logo on either side to make one card that works as both an ID badge and an access credential.

Read range depends on the reader. HID quotes 5 to 7.6 cm with its compact R10 reader, and larger readers reach further.

These cards work with HID iCLASS readers. If you need a magnetic stripe as well, for a vending or library system, the HID iCLASS 32k/32 card with magstripe adds one. For new installations, HID’s newer iCLASS Seos 16K card is built on its current security platform, and it reads on iCLASS SE and HID Signo readers.
