IDP Smart Bit Ribbon Shredder

The Smart Bit ribbon shredder is a fast and convenient way to dispose of used ID card printer ribbons. Used ribbons contain all the printed data on the surface of the ribbon, making them harder to safely dispose of. If you’re printing staff ID, membership cards or any other form of ID, it’s vital that the used ribbons are disposed of without compromising the security of data on them.

Why the IDP Smart Bit Ribbon Shredder?

IDP's shredder is a fast and convenient solution for instantly disposing used ID printer ribbons. It uses Twisted Micro-cut Technology which is where the ribbon is inserted and the process is started. Once in position, it is twisted tightly before being pulled into the shredding element, helping to ensure that all data on the ribbon is destroyed into tiny unrecognisable particles which are stored in a waste bag that can be emptied into a normal waste bin once full.
