About the Magicard Ultima YMCK/Retransfer Film Set

The Magicard Ultima YMCK/Retransfer Film Set is perfect if you are looking to replace both ribbon and film at the same time for your Magicard Ultima.

Magicard HE1000YMCK Full Colour Ribbon:

The YMCK ribbon comprises Yellow, Magenta, Cyan, Black and Black panels.  

The colour panels combine to create detailed and bright images including photos.

The black resin panel is ideal for fine print personalisation including text and barcodes.

The second black panel can be used to personalise the back of the card in black.

This ribbon can be used for single and double sided printing.

Magicard HE1000RT Retransfer Film:

The Magicard Ultima is a reverse transfer (retransfer) ID card printer which means that the print is first applied to a clear film, which is then bonded onto the surface of the card. This means that the retransfer film is an essential component of any retransfer printer.

The retransfer film also offers excellent protection from general wear and tear and any print fading which means the longevity of your cards is improved.

To ensure the quality of your printed cards, we recommend that you only use genuine Magicard ribbons. This is to ensure that the lifespan of your printer, its printhead and other components as non-genuine ribbons can cause printers to malfunction and/or damage the printer beyond repair. It is also worth noting that printer ribbons typically have a shelf life of one year, when stored in the correct conditions (cool, dry and out of direct sunlight). Ribbons that are older or improperly stored are likely to cause problems such as ripping, imperfect printing and jamming the printer.
