Salto MIFARE® 1K Blue Key Fobs (PFM01KB, Pack of 10)

The Salto PFM01KB is a genuine Salto MIFARE® 1K key fob for sites running the Salto Virtual Network (SVN). On an SVN system, each user’s access rights are stored on the fob itself. When the user presents it at an online wall reader, the reader writes their latest permissions onto the fob and collects the door events it has picked up, and the battery-powered locks around the building then read those rights straight off the fob. Because that data is written using Salto’s own encryption, an SVN site needs genuine Salto credentials to work.

Each fob is battery-free and draws its power from the reader when it’s presented, so there’s nothing to charge or replace. It sits on a keyring alongside traditional keys, which suits staff and residents who would rather carry a fob than wear a card.

The 1K memory is divided into sectors, and Salto’s encoding leaves shared sectors free for other MIFARE® applications, so a single fob can carry more than door access.
