About the Evolis LPA048NAA 1.0mil Alternate Clear Patch Smart/Mag Cut Ribbon

The Evolis 1.0mil alternate clear patch smart/mag cut ribbon allows you to add protection to your smart cards without compromising on functionality. The ribbon prints a clear overlay with a cut out for a contact smart chip on the front of the card, and prints a clear overlay with a cut out for a magnetic stripe on the reverse of the card, reducing any damage for up to 3 years whilst retaining all capabilities of the card.

It is also worth noting that printer ribbons typically have a shelf life of one year, when stored in the correct conditions (cool, dry and out of direct sunlight).  Ribbons that are older or improperly stored are likely to cause problems such as ripping, imperfect printing and jamming the printer.
