Easy, Efficient Printing Process

The Evolis Primacy 2 card printer can produce up to 280 full-colour card designs per hour (YMCKO), or up to 170 full-colour double-sided cards (YMCKOK). With it's 100 feeder and hopper capacity, you don't have constantly monitor prints, allowing the printer to be independent for your production.

Smart Card Encoding


Different encoding modules are available for integration into the Evolis Primacy 2 dual sided ID Card Printer. An encoding module effectively adds access control abilities to your printed cards. All options are factory-fitted. Should you require a specific encoding module that is not currently offered for this printer, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your requirement.


Magnetic Stripe Encoding


Add magnetic stripe encoding capabilities to your printer with this upgrade kit. Includes a dual HiCo and LoCo encoder, a flywheel, and a cable so you can add security functions to your smart cards.

SpringCard Crazy Writer HSP Encoding


Featuring up to 4 SAM slots, Crazy Writer HSP is ideal for advanced security operations. SpringCard's Crazy Writer HSP encoder allows for printed cards for cashless vending and access control.

OMNIKEY® 5122 Dual Encoding


The OMNIKEY® 5122 encoder works alongside 13.56 MHz RFID contactless smart cards and most contact smart cards, ideal for use in environments where both types of technology may be in use.

Elatec TWN4 Legic® NFC Encoding


The Elatec TWN4 Multitech Legic® 42 integrates seamlessly with the Primacy 2 to read/write most 125kHz, 134.2kHz and 13.56MHz frequencies. This is ideal for users who require a higher security.

Safeguard Your Printing


Printing ID cards means that you're often handling sensitive data, and therefore security is key. With the Evolis Primacy 2, you can upgrade the security features of your printer to ensure you're protecting information at all times.


The optional digital erasing feature removes all data from the printer memory once the job has completed, whilst Evolis' optional patented Kineclipse® technology (left) masks any data imprinted on ribbons to ensure secure disposal.

Printer Upgrade Options


Personalise your printer to your requirements with a range of optional upgrades. Add the card lamination module (CLM) to increase the durability and longevity of your ID cards. Convert your single-sided Primacy 2 into a double-sided printer with an activation key. Increase the input capacity to 200 and save time and energy with the additional hopper. Improve the usability of your printer by upgrading to an LCD touchscreen model which shows statuses and errors, and allows you to perform actions easily.

Is Evolis Primacy 2 good for high-volume printing?


The direct-to-card Primacy 2 can produce up to 270 full-colour cards/hour - it can comfortably handle thousands of prints per year. It is well-suited for organisations that need regular batch printing.




What software does Evolis Primacy 2 use?


The simplex  / duplex Primacy 2 is compatible with CardPresso, the card-design and management software supplied with most Evolis printers. It also works seamlessly with Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems. When you purchase the printer from us, we supply free CardPresso ID-ALL software to get you up and running as quickly as possible!




What is the difference between Primacy and Primacy 2?


The Primacy 2 introduces several key improvements:
