Evolis Paper Cards – Pack of 100
Paper is a natural and renewable material, making these paper cards from Evolis a great eco-friendly alternative to using PVC plastic cards. As the demand for more eco-friendly alternatives to plastic products increases worldwide, these paper cards reduce plastic usage in name badge printing without compromising on quality.
Despite being made from paper, a natural material, the cards are durable and have a high-quality feel and appearance just like their PVC counterparts. This means that they are ideal for use in the events industry but also for printing other temporary cards such as visitor passes or luggage tags.
The cards carry the FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) label, meaning that the material used was sourced from forests managed sustainably. They also meet the compostability standard EN 14995 (cf EN 13432). Paper is biodegradable in the natural environment within a few months.
Once the cards are no longer needed, they can be recycled in your ordinary recycling collection, where they will be broken down into raw materials and used in the production of new paper-based products. Shred your cards before recycling them if they have personal data printed on them.
The cards are compatible with the Evolis Primacy and Zenius ID card printers as well as the Evolis Edikio range of printers. You must use the Evolis BLACKFLEX RCT019NAA ribbon.

The cards must be stored at a minimum room temperature of 23°C, and the storage area must be free of moisture. Stored correctly, they will be capable of functioning for up to 2 years after the time of purchase. To ensure optimised print quality, avoid exposing them to direct sunlight, dust and high humidity.
Disposing of your cards
In many instances, such as in the production of event name badges, visitor passes or luggage tags, you may be printing large volumes of plastic cards in-house that will only be used once before they are thrown away. Since PVC is difficult to recycle, plastic cards will often end up in landfills, breaking down into harmful microplastics that pollute the earth. PVC cards can generally only be recycled by specialists.
If you have plastic cards or name badges that you’d like to recycle securely, we recommend taking them to your local recycling centre for a securer and more eco-friendly disposal. Paper cards can also be recycled, composted, or will break down fully within months if put into a landfill.
