This ribbon is compatible with the following printers:  DTC4500, DTC4500e, HDP5000 / HDP5000e and HDP8500.  

Please note that in order to use a laminate film your printer must have a lamination unit or lamination capability.

About the FARGO Clear PolyGuard  Overlaminate Film Cartridge 

This genuine FARGO clear laminate, also known as an overlay film or laminate, adds a layer of security and protection to your cards preventing them from fading, everyday wear and tear and tampering.

The laminate is made from PolyGuard, a material that has been proven in tests to withstand approximately 50,000 swipes through a card reader such as a payment machine or door entry reader.

To maximise the quality and durability of your printed card, the lifespan of the printhead and the overall printer reliability, always use genuine FARGO ribbons. At ID Card Centre we only sell genuine ribbons!

It is also worth noting that printer ribbons typically have a shelf life of one year when stored in the correct conditions (cool, dry and out of direct sunlight). Ribbons that are older or improperly stored are likely to cause problems such as ripping, imperfect printing and jamming the printer.

Please note, this ribbon is compatible with HDP5000 printer if it was made in 2018 or later. If earlier, you will require a firmware update.
