About the Zebra ZXP Series 7 Black Dye Sub KdO Printer Ribbon

Two different printing processes are used with KdO ribbons—dye sublimation for the black panel, and then the thermal transfer process for the clear overlay. The dye sublimation process allows you to print on a grey scale, creating shading and shadows. KdO ribbons are great for printing black and white images or logos.  If you need pure black, crisp print then you should use the Zebra ZXP KrO Black Ribbon 800077-761EM instead.

Our genuine Zebra True Colours printer ribbons produce long lasting, superior quality print and sharp images, text and barcodes on your ID cards.

All ribbon kits come with 2 cleaning rollers to ensure optimal daily printing.  Zebra recommends cleaning your printer after each ribbon change.

Genuine ID Card Printer Ribbons

To maximise the quality and durability of your printed card, the lifespan of the printhead and the overall printer reliability, always use genuine Zebra ribbons. At ID Card Centre we only sell genuine ribbons!

It is also worth noting that printer ribbons typically have a shelf life of one year, when stored in the correct conditions (cool, dry and out of direct sunlight). Ribbons that are older or improperly stored are likely to cause problems such as ripping, imperfect printing and jamming the printer.
