Choosing the Right Access Control Cards


Selecting the ideal access control cards for your organisation depends on a variety of factors, including your security requirements, system compatibility, and budget. With our huge range of manufacturers available such as NXP, Paxton Net2, Salto, MIFARE, TDSI, PAC and more, you can choose what suits your needs.

Depending on your requirements, you can choose different frequencies based on how much data you need to store. 13.56 MHz is a high frequency application and is recommended for most modern access control systems, as it can store a good amount of data easily. We also offer low frequency 125kHz and 153.6kHz, however, you are limited to storage.

Please ensure you do an appropriate amount of research when finding the right cards.




Proximity Cards


Proximity cards, also known as contactless cards allow for simplified access to rooms. They use RFID technology which is communicates with your compatible readers, meaning you don't need to make direct contact. Perfect for quick access in busy environments and suitable for a range of applications.




Contact Smart Cards


With an improve layer of security compared to proximity access cards, these contact cards (magnetic stripe) have to be physically inserted into your readers in order to be granted authorisation, making them perfect for highly confidential areas.




Material Card Types


Our standard material type is plastic cards, however we do offer more eco-friendly options such as recyclable cards that can be securely disposed without compromising the environment.
