How does zero ink label printing technology work?


The Brother VC-500W utilises heat instead of ribbons. The label printer has special ZINK paper which already contains all the colours inside of it.

It has tiny colour crystals embedded in the paper with yellow, magenta and cyan. Brother technology heats specific spots on the paper depending on your designs at different temperatures to active different colours.




What type of labels does the VC-500W use?


The VC-500W uses Brother ZINK label rolls only. This is because they use special colour crystals and are activated by heat.
